Rebuild Grades
If you change grade points or how a particular grade affects the transcript,
you will need to rebuild grades. If you do a data conversion and insert
some academic records outside of CAMS, this method allows you to recreate
the GPA accumulation factors. Running this routine ensures the accuracy
and integrity of your data. Transfer courses marked with TR are
NOT updated during this process.
Note: This
is a time consuming routine. It's recommended to have all users
out of the Registration Module prior to running this process.
To rebuild grades:
- Access the Rebuild All Grades window via CAMS
Manager >Rebuild >Registration>Grades.
- Click Process.
A message displays to confirm. To continue, click OK.
- CAMS updates the grades in students records and confirms
the process with the following message, "Rebuild Grades Complete."
If during the rebuild grades process, CAMS locates a grade which
is NOT in the Grades Table for the catalog to which students are assigned,
then that grade will display in the data grid of the Rebuild All Grades
window. To correct this situation, you must do one of the following:
- Run a query of academic
records (to remove grades if they are "junk" data).
