Gainful Employment (GE) - Report Export

In order to be eligible for funding under the Title IV programs, an educational program must lead to a degree (associate, bachelor's, graduate, or professional) at all profit and non-profit institutions, it must prepare students for "gainful employment in a recognized occupation" (GE Programs).

A checkbox has been added in the major/minor table located in CAMS Manager > Lookup Table Options > Table Maintenance > Reference Table to indicate whether the program is a "Gainful Employment Program". If checked another checkbox becomes available to indicate whether Gainful Employment Program requires a Medical or Dental Internship or Residency.

The GE - Report Export dialog can be used to generate a fixed width formatted file listing Title IV students who enrolled in GE Programs, including students who received Pell Grants or loans.

To generate a report file:

  1. From the CAMS Enterprise Home page, click Tools > Export > Financial Aid > Gainful Employment Export
  2. Fill out all required fields and click the "Load Data" button.
  3. Verify the validity of reported data displayed in the "Report Data" grid .
  4. If the data appears correct you can export it to a fixed field width file by providing a file name in the "Export File Name:" input field and clicking the "Export" button.
  5. A dialog will appear telling you the location of the exported file.
