Grade Entry

The Grade Entry screen records midterm and final grades for all students enrolled for the selected course. It is the source for transcript grades as found in the transcript maintenance screen.

Grade values themselves are defined in the Custom Grades table. They can be custom tailored to your institution's needs if necessary. Many institutions use, as well, the standard values supplied by CAMS. These values must be in place before Grade Entry can take place. Grade choices available for students are based upon that student's grade catalog. A blank value here conforms to the system default which is CAMS's standard grade system.

To enter grades:

  1. Open the Grade Entry form by clicking Registration >Grades >Grade Entry.
  2. Select the Term, whether you are entering Mid-Term, Final or Narrative grade and select the Course.

  6. You may see the student name or exam ID depending on what is set on the course. Enter the Mid-Term, Final, or Narrative grade.

Note: An unlimited amount of text may be entered in the Narrative grade field.

  1. Use the Previous Final Grade field if you wish to store previous grades should this entry be a change to an existing grade.

Note: When the form is closed, grades and repeats for are updated for all courses (even those in which grades were not entered) that each student took.
