Cost Types Grid

The Cost Types Grid displays a list of all cost types existing for the selected term. It is from this location that you will add new cost types, modify existing ones, defining the cost structure for each. See Cost Types for an overview of the function of Cost Types within CAMS.

To create a new cost type, see the cost setup instructions for the Billing Mode that is being used by your institution:

Standard. Based on a traditional blend of hourly, capped, and overload rates.
Banded. Based on multiple hourly rates.
Part-time Banded. Mix of standard and banded modes.
Full-time Banded. Fits institutions that require multiple full time rates surrounded by hourly and capped rates.
Hourly. Tuition is computed on an hourly basis.
Standard Full Time. Utilizes a single flat rate for full time, hourly for part time. Will account for all credit hours, regardless of what campus the class is on, signed up for and charge based on the Campus associated with the student.
