Student Status

Status values are supplied for every student and for every term that student registers. They are essential to the automatic processing of a student through CAMS. Values enable such processes as registration, refunds, and transcript grouping. Transcript Comments and Leave of Absence can be recorded for a specific term by clicking the Go To Page 2 button on the Student Status detail entry form. A student's extracurricular activities may be tracked from the Student Status window.

The first Student Status record is created automatically when the student's admissions record is initially created. Each successive Student Status record is created when registering a student through CAMS Enterprise or the Portals. Student Status records may also be manually created.

Student Programs for Term are used to keep track of what program/degree a student is going for. It can keep a history of each term and what program, if there is a change, that the student was going for during that term. Students may have more than one program for each term with a different Major/Minor and advisor, if necessary.

Note: There must be a Student Program for Term for each Student Status record in the upper grid if registration reports are to display correct results.

In addition to the data fields already available, CAMS also provides a User Defined button in this window which can be used to capture other data about students. The labels to these fields are configured according to your institution within the CAMS Manager module.
